As far as I know, this was the first and the original hyperlinked work of its kind on the web today, first published in 1998. The majority of the inspiration for this work (especially the etymology) came from an out-of-print book by Howard Harper, entitled the Episcopalian's Dictionary (Seabury Press, 1974).
